LL Presents: Grasslands LP launch

‘Where do you hide when the rain is pushing hard on the branches of the souls that surround?’

Across the meadow, beyond the door that burns, before the edge of the Cotswolds, is a place made of grass and time.

Join Grasslands and friends as they turn The Vic into a wildlife haven for one night only, all for the launch of Grasslands new LP ‘Flames, Doorways, Grass and Time’.

Doors open 20:00 with donations at the door.

Animal/plant/flower/moss/fern/mushroom-themed fancy dress is advised (but not required), and will give you special access to discounted wonderments on the night from the archives of the Liquid Library.

There will be tapes, there will be mini things, there will be CDs, there will be badgers, there will be grassland talks… bring your friends and tortoises…

THE GRASSLANDS IN OUR MINDS AND CULTURE
Grasslands will present a talk on grassland ecology and its connection with our culture with a live soundtrack provided by Charlie Miles (AKA Zero Gravity Tea Ceremony)

THE BADGESTY STANCE & EMILY-JANE SHEPPERD
Are you aware of the plight of our badgers, the gatekeepers to the under and over worlds? Emily Jane Sheppard will bring her folk-pop fusion and emotive voice to the meadows and perform in a short drama piece written by Grasslands.

Moleville makes bittersweet pop songs featuring piano, toy synths and a broken guitar. Songs to be sung at the end of the world

GRASSLANDS:
Grasslands is a fusion of alternative rock, electronica, found sounds and folk pollinated with information about meadows, grasses and the environment. Grasslands performs in both electronic form (with his rig of synths, samplers and DJ decks) and as a more gentle acoustic act with acoustic guitar and occasional samples. Expect wildlife visuals and Bristol the Badger.
