Kavus Torabi is a composer/ musician. He is a member of Gong, The Utopia Strong, Cardiacs, Knifeworld, and more. As a solo artist, he performs songs of mortality and eternity with voice, harmonium, and electric guitar. ‘Kavus Torabi’s greatest skill is his ability to cram incisive but wonderfully alien melodies into every misshapen sonic nook’ The Guardian ‘A key figure in British psychedelic and progressive music’ The Quietus ‘He has a quality that’s unpredictable, engaging, and seducing’ Louder Than War ‘The songs are modular, folksy and ghosted by fantastical visions’ Uncut.

Support is from Swindon composer & songwriter Richard Wileman who is joined by Amy Fry on vocals, clarinet & saxophone. Richard releases gothic, cosmic, prog, folk, lounge songs, and instrumentals with his Karda Estra project and more recently on his solo albums. Richard has collaborated several times with Kavus as well as releasing seven albums on Kavus’ label Believers Roast. Tonight is a special evening as it marks the first time they have played a gig together.
