This website, thevicswindon.com, is run by H&W Entertainment Ltd, trading as The Victoria ("we", "us"). Company number 16654973. Our address is 88 Victoria Road, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN1 3BD.

We are the "controller" of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at gigs@thevicswindon.com or on 01793 535713.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to information we collect about:

• Visitors to our website

• People who send us a message through the contact form

• People who sign up to our mailing list

The information we collect and why

Contact form. When you send us a message we collect your name, email address, telephone number (optional) and your message. We use it only to reply to your enquiry. We do this because it is necessary to answer you and to run our business (legitimate interests), and, where you are asking about hiring the venue or an event, to take steps at your request. The message is emailed to us through our website provider's form service. We keep it no longer than we need to answer you and for 12 months afterwards, then delete it.

Mailing list. If you sign up to our mailing list, we collect your email address. We use it to send you news about gigs, events and offers from The Victoria. We only do this with your consent, which you give by ticking the box when you sign up. Your details are stored with Mailchimp, which we use to send our emails. We keep your details until you unsubscribe. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or by emailing gigs@thevicswindon.com.

Website use (cookies). With your permission we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. See the next section.

We do not collect any other personal information through this website, and we do not sell your information.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. Until you accept, only the cookies needed to run the site (and to remember your choice) are used.

• Necessary: make the site work and remember your cookie choice (our website and cookie banner).

• Analytics: help us see how the site is used, such as pages visited and how visitors arrive (Google Analytics).

• Marketing: measure and improve our advertising (Google Ads, the Meta (Facebook) pixel and the Reddit pixel).

These tools are loaded through Google Tag Manager. The analytics and marketing tools only run if you choose Accept. You can change your mind at any time by using Cookie Settings at the bottom of any page, or by deleting cookies in your browser settings. You can learn more about cookies at aboutcookies.org.

The companies behind these tools (Google, Meta and Reddit) may combine this information with other data they hold. Please see their own privacy policies for details.

Who we share information with

We use other companies to run the website and our communications. They only process information on our behalf or as described in their own policies:

• Framer, which hosts our website and processes the contact form

• Our email hosting provider, which receives the emails sent to us

• Mailchimp (Intuit), which stores our mailing list and sends our emails

• Google, Meta and Reddit, through the cookies described above (only if you accept)

Some of these companies are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards required by UK law, such as the providers' approved transfer arrangements.

When you click a link to buy tickets, you go to the ticket seller's website (for example WeGotTickets or Skiddle). They are responsible for their own use of your information.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable measures to protect your personal information. However, the internet is not completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us online.
